THE fish bar

You can’t predict the future, so there will always be times when you’d love to eat out but you’ve fallen foul of the everywhere-was-booked-up-weeks-ago problem. This is where the Fish Bar comes into play, as there are strictly no bookings here. Tables are simply allocated on a first come, first served basis, with anyone who’s prepared to wait guaranteed a table at some point.

A lovely space that extends out from the back of the bar area, the Fish Bar has bags of character, just like the rest of the Black Bull.

 

Every nook and cranny holds an interesting antique, and even the wood panelling has a story to tell – it’s previous home was the interior of a Liverpool ship. This seafaring theme continues throughout the Fish Bar’s décor but don’t be fooled by the name: here you can order from exactly the same menu as anywhere else in The Black Bull.
